HM enter the Sussex Internship Programme

Harrington McDermott are looking for an intern to join our team over the summer. We have joined Wired Sussex’s Internship Programme and our advert for a web Designer/Front-end Developer is live with a closing date for applications of the 18th July. So we are expecting to be conducting interviews in late July for candidates to be starting in Early August. We have got plenty of exciting projects for the lucky candidate to get their teeth into so cant wait to meet them and welcome them into our team and our funky new offices!

Internship description:

You will be required to work closely with the lead technical developer and senior graphic designer to implement new web designs for our content management system. You will have strong technical knowledge of HTML, Flash, Java and Photoshop.

We are constantly developing new modules and applications for key client requirements, so you will play a major part in the usability and design of these client solutions from initial fact finding to development and implementation.

You will also work on other bespoke projects for clients, so an understanding of project processes and management will also be an advantage

You will also be involved in the following :
• Website build from selected design layout;
• Image processing for website optimization;
• Website testing and usability reviews;
• Client liaison to obtain feedback and amendments

Skill range:

The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong working knowledge of the following :
HMTL, xHTML, CSS, .net, Flash, Javascript, Photoshop ( CS4 creative suite an advantage)

Ideally you will be used to working as part of a creative team, and used to delivering projects to tight timescales. You will also be able to work closely to a client brief independently – we are not into micro management!!
Above all you will have a sense of humour, ability to stay calm under pressure and a wide ranging taste in music to fit in with our existing team !
